Gleaning July 10th
Join us as we glean for the food bank. A practice from ancient times, gleaning involves picking over already-harvested fields by (or for) those in need. Last year 23 individuals and families from Oak Hills came together to help meet the Twin Lakes Food Bank's needs and had a lot of fun together, too! We picked zucchini and beans (and taste tested a few as well). This year we will be harvesting on two Mondays: July 10th and 24th. Join us for one or both and come have some fun together!
On the day of, we will meet at the church at 7:15 am, or at Davis Ranch in Sloughhouse at 7:45am, and pick until 10:30am or so. Please wear work clothes you can get dirty, tennis shoes and jeans and bring a hat, gloves, and water. For safety reasons, no sandals or flip flops are allowed.
